Library Policy (PDF)

The Southron Gaard Library is a significant collection of books, magazines, and other items that cover a huge range of topics from dance, music, cooking, groups newsletters, architecture, heraldry, costume and more. Among other things, we have a large number of issues of the Compleat Anachronist, the SCA journal which provides in-depth research on specific topics.

The following collection lists are available online:

• A full list of issues of the Baronial Library’s Compleat Anachronist collection is in this document (PDF).
• there are personal library collections held in the Barony most are referenced via this Southron Gaard LibraryThing group.

Not included in the above: a number of Tournaments Illustrated issues.

Access to the Baronial Library is primarily by appointment, although open days occur occasionally and relevant books are sometimes brought to themed events. The library is open to all SCA participants who register as a library user. Please see the Library Policy for more information, or contact the Arts and Sciences Officer.
