Much thanks to Sir Vitale for providing the gear and being the model. The Barony was given $300 for this. - Attended the SCANZ AGM - Received applications for the office of Constable and Chronicler. These have both been forwarded onto the kingdom officer, and are awaiting their decision. Have had inquiries about the office of chatelaine, but no official applications yet. - Received Quarterly reports from all officers, and submitted Seneschal quarterly report. - Will soon start advertising for the position of Seneschal as my two year warrant finishes soon. Correspondance with: - CF stewards and B&B regarding the Steel Embassy - UCMRS regarding the steel Embassy - Reeve regarding financial reports CHATELAINE: REEVE: Current Account Balances Cheque 1,015.70 FTT 44.25 Clearing Account 12,307.35 HERALD: Heralded two events: Ambassadors' Ball (Nov.24) and Court at Hafla (Dec. 7). Must return one name submission for signatures. MARSHAL: Sunday practices continue to go well. Wednesdays practices have been postponed util after Xmas due to lack of numbers. Although that said if other still wish to turn up on Wednesday for practice they are welcome to do so. CAPTAIN OF ARCHERS: - Practices going smoothly, about half dozen people attending each week. CAPTAIN OF RAPIER: A&S: - Busy graduating from uni. Now done! - Submitted quarterly report. CHRONICLER: WEBWRIGHT: Usual updates incl. CF subsite Seeking successor by Mar 08 at latest, apply within CHIRURGEON: Attended St Caths in Idhafn. Only two little injuries, including myself :D Hope to have four (yes, four!) newly minted Jouryney(wo)men chirurgeons at the end of CF. CONSTABLE: QUARTERMASTER: - Busy with Ball and Hafla. Got more stuff. - Have got the constables gear (lost property and constables cup). B&B: Correspondence: - with Festival stewards regarding possibility of centrally-located SG "Commons" tent - with new P&P regarding their CF visit - with Kingdom Chronicler and Pegasus editor re: missing Pegasuses - with other Baronages regarding TRM travel support - Received ccs of applications for Chronicler and Constable; forwarded commentary to relevant Kingdom officers - Preparatory research on sunshade construction - Dec Stuff Night if machine(s) available - Attended Ambassador's Ball, Hafla (held Court at both), singing, seamsters, fort workshop, visited fighters' practice EVENT REPORTS: CANTERBURY FAIRE: - T-shirt design done - Bookings around 190. - Feast fully booked - Request to padlock the flying fox to better control its use by unsupervised children. AMBASSADORS BALL: - On budget ($30.62 surplus) - Good event, lots of helpful people HAFLA: - Good event - Money not added up yet (around $40- $50 loss) - Site owners happy - 3 newcomers attended - Photos to go up on website - Important to have pre-organised clean up crew. GENERAL BUSINESS: SUNSHADE PROJECT: - Plan to use December stuff night for the construction of sunshades - Need $40 for thread and needles - Need industrial or heavy duty machines - Possibility discussed of shifting stuff night to Showbiz location to use their sewing machines. CF WORKING BEE: - Working bee at CF site on December 22 - Bring a picnic - Tasks include flattening of dirt behind the Mong, moving the water tap outlet, trimming trees, possibly backfilling the stairs. CF 2009: - Much discussion about when to have dates for CF 2009. - Waitangi day is Fri 6th, so could have CF from Wednesday to Sunday. However, if this is the case why not take extra two days and have whole week? And then why not the previous weekend as well? - Will discuss on email list. FORT WORKSHOP: - Sunday 13th January - Need a truck/driver to transport things to CF site. VARIOUS EXPENDITURE: - Bartholomew to buy 2m dowel (~$4) for archery stands - FC already purchased 4 indoor pole holders, Bartholomew to sort out 4 large poles for these. FIGHTER AUCTION BENEFICARY: - First $250 to go to CF belltower project - Extra to go to NZ lists BARONIAL ANNIVERSARY 2008: - Start advertising for stewards. - Best dates would be first half march or after 7th April RAPIER WORKSHOP: - Rapier workshop to be held in St Kessog/Castelburn in early January. - Emilio attending from SG, Emrys from Ildhafn also attending. STEEL EMBASSY: - Have got the confirmed rules from the MRS. - Area should be demarcated as soon as possible to prevent people camping in it. MEETING CLOSED 8:33PM.
