Unwell so unable to attend the meeting. Deferred chairing to B&B. CHATELAINE Attended Siege event. Busy Shifting. Hire garb now at Belle and Matt's REEVE E-mailed report. HERALD Apology, No in the country. MARSHAL No report, no apology LISTS Apology ? emailed report Early-bird tourney at Rimu Park 4/12/5. We had 10 fighters attending. Won by Baron Sir Tycho and Baron Bartholomew. Richard and Duncan re-authorised. One new fighter (Olaf). No injuries. Also ran lists for the children's boffer tourney. There were seven children in a double-elimination format. It was won by Dickon Baskin. Renewed membership for next year. Received old Lists box and new folder from Baron and Baroness at same event. Have been going through List box to tidy it up. There are a few things I'll leave in there as being of historical interest. However there are many years worth of lists of authorised fighters in Caid which all contain addresses and phone numbers and the signed waiver forms from '95 and '96 which I will see are burned rather than just put in the rubbish. A&S A&S class for December was held by katherine on Mask making. I was unable to attend because it was the day of my move but thanks to Her Excellency and to those who attended. Making formal motion to add A&S to Medieval Stuff Evening instead of a separate date. Not enough attendance and difficulty finding teachers to make separate A&S date viable. There will be no A&S class in either January or February. Both are either during or too close to New Years Day and Canty Faire. We will start again in March. I have several teachers for A&S classes at CF. If you know of anyone who is coming to the event from other parts of Lochac, please encourage them to contact me if they would be willing to teach. William and I are not moving to Wellington in the foreseeable future after all so no replacement for A&S Office is needed at this time. Still looking for deputy. Library is half catalogued. The move upset everything but I will finish cataloging asap, hopefully by 1/1 and get library to new Library Custodian ? Lady Emma (Nicola). Thanks to Lady Emma for stepping in and handling A&S at the event in my absence. DECISION: A&S to combine with Medieval Stuff from February CHRONICLER FTT went out, down to one post out, with one more month to go. Going to ask some of the populace involved in the Siege Challnge if I can use their pix in the next FTT. I still have some vacancies to fill, notably day stewards and meal plan dinner cooks. BARONIAL ANNIVERSARY Duncan will cook the Feast- Spanish themed circa 1500 Belle will be Day Steward Simone will be Evening and Feast Steward Belle found a venue- St Peters Church Hall at Church Corner. Good private grounds for fighting Date will be 25 March Hall and land will cost $250 with a $200 bond Estimate about $15 for day per person MUSTERS It would be good to restart these in February WINTER ESCAPE EVENT DECISION: August would be a better time then June as we would have more chance of Snow. GENERAL BUSINESS Officer replacement and changeover procedures We need to get dates for stepping down. SCANZ We need another SCANZ rep. It needs to be investigated whether one can be an officer and the rep at the same time. We do still have Vitale, so do have some representation. Canterbury Faire Storage Sheds are $500-700 apiece, which is much cheaper then the container. Ross suggested a Truck Canopy, there is one in the area, which could easily be moved on site. At $300-350 this is definitely the cheapest option, but it may need a little work. It is midway in the size range, and would be cheapest to move if we had to. Only heard about this today, so have some time to decide. We will also need to pay rent for the space. $1/day was suggested, we want to propose another working bee. Decision: Subject to inspection, this is the best option. EEPPSS- Was on field at the siege event. Was field tested by a marshal and approved. Was strength tested by bouncing the court physician. Very transportable. All round success. It would also be easy to expand at a later date, to adapt it for use in a wider range of battle scenarios. Location of First Aid Kit Don?t know when it was last seen or what has happened to it. The stock inside has probably expired now, and would need to be replaced. If we can?t find it, we can get another, possibly from NZ safety or St John, in a more portable box. Baronial Subscriptions Vicki Faxed SCA Inc about renewing these but hasn?t heard back MEETING CLOSED: 8.40 pm
