Baronial Council Meeting Minutes
9 July 2002

Present: Callum, Chrettienne, Vitale, Heloise, Richard, Arabella, Geoffrey,

OFFICER REPORTS:
Baron & Baroness:
Correspondence:  various poll related discussions, thank you from Lochac
regarding banners, job description for B&B to Ildhafn, discussions regarding
Darchester awards, letter from Grand Visier of Caid regarding Baronial
Pennsic gift (painted & appliqued banner).  Considering silk, will need
reimbursement for silk ($38).

Seneschal:
Correspondence: library query (is bookcase with Angus), Chirurgeon officer
changeover, 20th Anniversary price clarification, Yule budget (to Richard),
Ildhafn & Cluain support letters, received & discussed College minutes,
received and forwarded Poll information, forwarded Condessa Catalinas
introduction as NZ Liason, 1/4ly reports from Chatelaine and Capt. of
Archers.  Contacted by Gyldenhold Press Chronicler - changed S.G. address.
Attended Yule.  S.G. list bounces clarified.  Alexander reappointed as
Captain of Archers. Heloise to act as deputy Seneschal for poll purposes
while Vitale is a Pennsic.  Vitale's new email for correspondence while
overseas is sirvitale@hotmail.com.  Whip around at Yule for Alfrikrs thank
you collected $27.30.  Submitted apology for next months meeting.

Chirurgeon:
Attended Yule.  Received first aid kit.  Discussions regarding officer
changeover and chirurgeon apprenticeship with Cristia and Kingdom.  Updated
Chirurgeon Calendar.

Chatelaine:
Attended Yule.  Sent Quarterly Report.  Sent and received quarterly report
reminders.  Joined new Caid Chatelaines email list.  Informed Kingdom of
intent to step down - will advertise position in FTT & PR.

Herald:

College:

Arts and Sciences:

Constable:

Marshal:

Lists:
Attended Yule and still working on pegs for the lists pavillion.

Captain of Archers:
Various correspondence regarding renewal.  Sent Quarterly report.  Practices
occuring as usual.  Combat postponed until July 14, did target instead.
Richard shooting well.

Chronicler:
Received adverts for FTT, copies of the Raed, Clarion and PR.
Correspondence regarding Jenny Allens address.  2 new subs and  FTT posted.
Advertised for deputy.  Need stamps ($40).  Exchequer received printing
invoice.

Exchequer:
Copyprint account sorted.  Travel fund donation sent to Kingdom.  Balances:
Cheque $3532.06, FTT $357.31


EVENT REPORTS
Baronial Anniversary:
Final numbers mean $157.30 profit.

Yule:
Cider not used therefore put into Baronial stores.  Profit of $47.47.

Collegium:
Weekend of 21-22 September.  Timetable to be organised.  Hall + 2 rooms +
kitchen costs $105 per day therefore do not hire second room.  Breakeven is
17 attendees per day at $5 per day.  Geoffrey to pick up key before 3pm on
Sept 20th.

20th Anniversary:
Advertising with price list distributed.  Need $75 for site bond.  Breakeven
point of 40 attendees.

Canterbury Faire:
Rosa unable to co-steward therefore Richard stewarding and enlisting
Ethelinds help for things like the booklet.  Preliminary adverts (incl.
requests for bits on feast, catering and entertainment) distributed.  Bids
for other activites also needed - College to do Fighter Auction Tourney to
cover membership costs?  Bid required by 5pm August 30th.  Investigation
sites but will pencil book J.E. if no site confirmed by end of this week.
Theme for CF is War of the Roses.

GENERAL BUSINESS:
Tables cost $8 each to hire.  College events to pay the Barony and Baronial
events to include table costs in budget.
