First event as Chatelaine and spoke to half a dozen interested onlookers - handed out cards. Mostly just stopping by out of curiosity, but one father and young son from Russia very interested and unaware of us so gave him flyer and pointed him to the website etc. He is quite likely to follow up. - Need a supply of introduction cards please and flyers...... I understand the Hand Book is being searched for by Therese... - Hire Garb: Following up on requests for CF. Pricing more storage boxes at present and will need to purchase approx 4 more large ones. REEVE: Current Account $11,357.57 FTT $44.25 Clearing Account $5,530.62 These are the account balances as it stands after the depositing today. There are still cheques to clear, so the Clearing account balance is actually higher, especially with on CF cheque which was AUD950.00. Other than that it has been a quiet month. In other news, I am seeking a Replacement effective Yule, as it will then be my 2 years up. I have really enjoyed being reeve, but I think it is a bit too much work for me at the moment with my life the way it is at the moment. HERALD: - Attended and heralded small Court at Twelfth Night Tournament. - Bjorn Svartsson was admitted to the order of the Tour d'Or. Will pass this on to go into February's FTT. - Received incomplete documentation for a submission, so will be able to send it off to Benedict. - Am starting to write up Courts for Canterbury Faire to minimise pain of process on site. Engage in correspondence with Chronicler for FTT. MARSHAL: - Practices going well. - Getting a few more people authorized in the leadup to CF. - No major issues CAPTAIN OF ARCHERS: - Practices continue - Preparing CF scenarios - Combat practice this Sunday A&S: - Not much to report. Continuation of sunshade projects next stuff night. CHRONICLER: - Stepped up at 12th Night tourney, 6th January 2008. Awaiting chronicler records and resources etc. - January issue of FTT published online, 1st January 2008. - Various correspondence regarding officially taking office (B&B and Herald) and the January issue (B&B, Seneschal, Herald, Martial, Rapier group). - Next issue will be published a day or two early due to Canterbury Faire. WEBWRIGHT: - Added Steel Embassy and Camping Advice pages to CF subsite - Updated calendar, FTT online - Updated Festival page and sought Festival shuttle info from stewards - Seeking a replacement, please contact chronicler@sg.sca.org.nz to apply CHIRURGEON: - Nothing to report. CONSTABLE: - Stepped up, nothing to report QUARTERMASTER: - Not much to report. - Had a look for 3 more plastic bins. Plastic Box seem expensive so will look at another couple of places. - Planning on taking all inventory up to CF and then can do a good check when it all gets packed up at the end. B&B: - Attended singing, Fighters Practice, Stuff Night - Sourced materials and info for Baronial Sunshades - Took part in Radio NZ recording - Held Court at Twelfth Night Tourney, stepped up new Chronicler, Constable and Chatelaine - Corresponded with: TRHs concerning CF schedule CF stewards Kingdom Seneschal re: slow officer confirmations EVENT REPORTS: CANTERBURY FAIRE: - One under 18yr old has booked. They have been informed that they will be the responsibility of their elder sister. - Everyone is once again reminded to take all their bottles away with them to be recycled. - Only changes to the timetable to be heralded. Hours of the day will be tolled on the bell. - Gate tent still at CF site. BARONIAL ANNIVERSARY ’08: Steward still needed for this event. Been advertised in FTT, more ads to go out on list. GENERAL BUSINESS: VERONICAS KITCHEN: - Lady Veronica proposed to the Barony that they float the capital advance for Veronica’s kitchen for CF, in exchange that the profit will go to a good cause (ie kingdom travel fund). Capital required is around $1800, expected profit around $200 - $300. She would be responsible for all risk. - Discussion that as the Barony saw Veronica’s Kitchen as a great service to CF, that they would underwrite the money, with profits still going to Veronica as she would be PAGES TENT: - Darius has access to 20ft canvas tent to use as Pages tent. He can transport it out to site. NEWCOMER RESOURCES: - Reminder from Baroness Katherine about SCA standards for CF, including things like hiding beverage containers, expectation of garb, driving cars through site. Expectation on everyone to talk quietly to people who may need it. Please tell steward/constable/seneschal if you have no success after talking to offenders. SUNSHADE MAKING: - Bjorn sourcing poles and ropes for completion of sunshade project - Emayn to organise and supervise. SCANZ MEETING: There will be a SCANZ meeting at Canterbury Faire for anyone wishing to discuss SCANZ matters. GENERAL CF DISCUSSION: - Query if a SCANZ rep could sell memberships at the CF market. Scotaidh to check. - Cat requires baronial tables for pages tent. - Food going out to site in Vanessa’s horse truck. - Require day and night stewards. Hera volunteered for some day stewarding, Darius for night security. - Require more donations for CF fighter auction tourney. - Call for people to help organise children’s craft kits/activities.
