Southron Gaard Council Meeting - Held at 12th Night - Rimu Park.

Attended Xmas Revcel, 12th night

Seneschal
Received bill for meeting room. Chasing up status with Chirurgeon.
Kingdom funds are getting low, so kingdom is consider putting a $1
surcharge on every event that costs more than $10 (This is the NZ cost,
Australian cost is more) This is to cover insurance, kingdom travel
fund. Much discussion - consensus is money has to come from somewhere we
all benefit, until a better model comes along we are happy to pay this.
Metal weapons at CF - demo OK as long as it is clear that it is a
non-SCA demo. Also training etc can happen over the fence if they like.
My warrant extended until the end of March, new applicant likely to step
up by then, Baronial tent shipped last Thursday should be here in about
a week. All paraphernalia to be organized by CF. Richard happy to
organize making ropes. Need poles and ridge pole made up. Sigurd buying
a coil of rope. Approx $400 worth of materials to be purchased. Get
cheques as required.

Marshal 
No report (later found- out had not heard about change of venue) RE
kidney belts, Vitale checked the anatomy of floating ribs, seems we are
not so bad after all. Maybe need to consider liability issues of badly
fitting loaner armour we hand out.

Constable 
No report.

Exchequer 
Received bank statements but haven't opened yet. Will send report.
Copied email about replacement to Kingdom Seneschal as  Kingdom
Exchequer never replied.

Lists 
Ran lists at 12th nigh - haven't heard form kingdom.

Webmaster 
Semi official site now available. Awaiting sca.org.nz domain to be
transferred to Sca NZ Inc. To publicize and get links sorted.

Chatelaine
Hire garb now has own room. Correspondence form one person interested in
joining pointed them at website - newcomers page.

Quartermaster 
New house has more space, securely locked.

Crescents 
Still looking for replacement.

Herald 
Injured in accident (much sympathies). Finalising details of
augmentation of arms and Tour d'Or award Need people to sign and say
they don't object to the design. Working on ceremonies.

Chronicler 
Put out FTT. Touting for Alchemist articles. Chatelaine sent Italian
garb article. Got 1 sub.

Chirurgeon
Been thru first aid kit and lots has expired. Will get prices fore
replacements. Discussing with kingdom about warrant.

Events

Canterbury Faire
Report received. 80 booked so far, cheques and cash to exchequer.
Volunteer for meal plan- Nicolette du Fay of Stormhold. Some concern
voiced that no-one form local group could be found to organize the food.
Beatrice to co-ordinate with her. Catherine Bevin to purchase food.Fire
risk is extreme. No naked flames. Be prepared for total fire ban.
Discussion about gas bbqs /cookers. 2 chques needed $140 for B Sibley
admin porridge etc as per budget, $1200 for meal plan to Catherine
Beven.

Baronial Anniversary
Needs to be somewhere that archery and tourney can happen. Still no
bids!
