Other: -Ran Lists at Day of Tourneys CHATELAINE: Attended Tourney Day, spoke to heaps of people! Riccarton House is certainly a good spot for attracting interested passers by (including groups of Chinese Tourists who can’t speak English – a challenge!). Many thanks to those who helped with talking to members of the public when I was already engaged with others. Attended “Pants!” Stuff Night in December, two new pairs of varying sizes made and repairs to one more, collected donations of various pieces of garb from other generous souls – thank you. Any more donations gratefully accepted – see recent ad in FTT. Co-ordinating garbing those who need it who are attending CF REEVE: Current Balances: Clearing account: $12,777.86 Holding Account: $5,337.13 Castleburn: $1,096.59 Have written some large cheques for CF food, (we now have enough money to buy it! Yay!) Still need people to pay as we don’t yet have enough for food AND site fees. Thanks to those who have already done so. HERALD: Have corresponded with Crux Australis, Peerage candidates, Their Excellencies, and event stewards regarding Courts and ceremonies for CF ‘09 Corresponded with successor Tour d’Or Herald regarding Court and Succession business, and piñatas. Heralded court for the December Day of Tourneys. If there is any particular Heralding for Tourneys at CF needed – please let me know. MARSHAL: Practices going happened Will be checking archers armour this Sunday. Working through nefarious plans for finding a replacement. Considering one armour inspection for the whole of CF, is common at larger events LISTS: Stepping down, replacement being sought. CAPTAIN OF ARCHERS: Practices happened, spending time with helms on having them shot off. Also practising for the mini clout shoot. CAPTAIN OF RAPIER: Well, I think this will be my last report as GRM. I would like to thank everyone for the opportunity that was given to me. One event was held (Day of Tournaments). We now have one more rapier combatant (Tim), which brings us up to 10 in total. There have been no injuries to speak of. Rapier at CF is all go, it’s going to be rather busy. Pants Stuff night went well – new items created CHRONICLER: FTT uploaded 01/01/2009 - Notifications sent via Tour d'Or Herald Deadline for the February issue is 4pm, 23/01/2009 FTT will be going out early due to CF and my work will be frantic that week, so if you miss the deadline you will miss the issue. No last minute reprieves, no squeaking in the day before publication. Content (articles, poems, artwork etc) is sought for upcoming issues. A newsletter is only as good as its content - so please contribute! WEBWRIGHT: Did usual website maintenance. Have been looking for a new storage area for Trailer, Quartermaster, Chatelaine Stuff in the central city. Lapco cash account holders get a 15% discount – suggest we look in to getting one. As Rohesia has resigned, we need someone to join. Antonia elected unanimously as new member STUFF NIGHT: Will be CF ARGH! More themes required for later ones. OTHER BUSINESS: Their Excellencies have done a great job, and we are very grateful Council for next month will be postponed for a week till the 17th to give us time to recover from CF.
