CF will be an official event though. * Sent email to Mistress Daphne requesting information. No real information in the response. Next BoD meeting is in January, probable discussion then. Seneschal: * Following up on Baronial bank A/C signatories * Received same information regarding polling as everyone else. * Sent FTT column clarifying situation with sign-in sheets * Resent inquiry to Caid Exchequer about NMS (that it applies only to events advertised (in our case) in CP. Got word that inquiry has been passed up the line but no reply yet. NMS will apply at Canterbury Faire. Some discussion ensued about application of the NMS for Canterbury faire. It was suggested that the Barony subsidise the NMS for newcomers for their first couple of events. * Another round of discussions regarding Incorporation etc. Vitale to send email to lists about forming a working party to look into this. * Query from Ildhafn re removing Inc references * Request for mailing labels for baronial poll has been sent. Still no sign of them. Vitale has chased this up again. * Applications for positions of Seneschal, A&S and Crescents officer. * Resignation of Captain of Archers * Mention of recordings of a news item on the SCA being recorded, Vitale trying to track down a copy for us. * Copy print still needs sorting out. * Need payment for hall hire from last month * Vitale to renew Seneschals warrant for the medium term until things are more settled locally. Chirurgeon: * Christmas Revel, 1 finger jammed in door; no treament. * 12th Night, no accidents Chatelaine: * Assisted newcomer at Christmas Revel * Two newcomers at 12th night * Sent email to Kingdom Chatelaine re: not being on the chatelaine's email list * Newcomers classes being organised * Sent Doomsday report Herald: * Crescent Principal having email troubles, still not replying. Sent further emails but delaying doomsday report until answers received. A&S * No A&S officer at present * Discussion of topics for Baronial A&S competition delayed until new A&S appointment. Constable: * 12th Night, Stephen lost keys, blackwork napkin found * Sent doomsday (late) * Expression of interest from Adrian re: CIT position, sent information Marshal: * Planning to step down after CF Lists: * No tournaments, not much activity Capt. Of Archers: * Stepped down, Richard to act pro temp. to keep practices running. Richard making more targets, refurbishing arrows etc. * No funds raised for gear replacement/repair, discussion of contribution for use of loaner gear at practices will be a gold coin for use, not optional but first couple waived if necessary. * Richard will continue doing job and report via marshal. Quartermaster: * In process of putting stuff in new boxes * Still no sign of Baronial Fire extinguisher Chronicler: * Email from Wellington Medieval Guild editor, newsletter exchange organised with them * Received copies of Read and Clarion * Sent doomsday report * Jan FTT out. * Updated regnum in FTT, need new info from Maggie * Reduced FTT to 9 pages by making font 9pt, reduced size of ads. Printing cost $42.19 this month. * Elizabeta needs $40 for stamps * Ilar sent doomsday report for College chronicler, having been reminded several times despite the college having gone away. Wrote a report anyway and sent it to Sinech. Events: CF: * Money, $400 in cash, ~$2500 in cheques. 3 cheques made out to Richard, sent back and sorted out. * Booklet done, printed 50 copies * ~75 registrations so far, hoping for 90 by close of registrations * some concern over numbers of tents for hire being lower than expected, have asked site owners to check. * Open candles to be allowed in hall. Everywhere else flames must be covered. * Invited regional B.B. commander to come to feast * Waterhole full * Need stamps for booklet * Request for timetable change, too late in the process to make changes now * Requests for range marshals to Bearnard and Roland * Organising roses for tourney * Emailed Kingdom Chronicler re event notice in CP. Other organisation proceeding apace. * Bid from Ilar for May feast * William to run Baronial Ann, Duncan to cook - 22nd of March best date * Ilar producing A&S publication, stalled last year but back on track now. In contact with artisans and intend to get first issue out at Baronial Anniversary, deadline for submissions 2 weeks prior to that. * Naming for New Zealand, suggestion of an informal "Naming Moot" to happen at CF after court on Thursday. * A&S topics for this year will be set after A&S officer is appointed. * Entertainment for events. Katherine Kerr is not the official mistress of revels, but wanted it known that she has entertainments available for events. Some discussion re responsibility for organising event entertainments.
